Under kind patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, activities of the 4th Saudi International Nanotechnology Conference (SINC 2016) organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in association with the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) during the period 24-26 Muharram 1438 corresponding to 25- 27 October are going to be launched tomorrow Tuesday at the KFUPM’s Conferences Hall in KFUPM campus in Dhahran.
SINC 2016 that hosts two Nobel Laureate scientists and two scientists winners of King Faisal Award among its main speakers along with the joint research teams with KACST, discusses over three successive days manufacturing nano-materials, electronics and photonics nanotechnologies, solar cells, energy applications as well as medical and environmental implementations.
SINC 2016, which provides a unique international gathering of nanotechnology experts to exchange their ideas on nanotechnology and its applications in different areas, aims to put forward scientific and practical ideas in nanotechnology fields, examine recent innovations and novelties in this technology as it also targets creating the largest gathering of stakeholders including leaders, decision makers and contributors to the development of the Kingdom’s nanotechnology sector.
The Conference concentrates, among its targeted participants, on policy makers interested in nanotechnology, business leaders, company owners and bankers evaluating nano-business opportunities, companies active in the nano sector, universities with private sector collaboration and support programs, Suppliers of technologies, solutions and services for science, technology and the nanotechnology sector, lab and equipment suppliers for nano research and development work, developers of software and tools required by participants in the Saudi National Plan for the nano sector aside from international and regional agencies and corporations interested in collaboration toward advancing the objectives of the National Plan as well as research institutes and centers of excellence.
Keeping pace with nanotechnology advancement is vital for the future of scientific areas that affect the design and manufacture of most modern products, as it also plays a key role in areas of comprehensive scientific fields including everything that enters in the automotive, aircraft and advanced technology industries in medicine and solar energy and the promotion of the membranes help in drinking water desalination.
