The General Secretariat of Almarai Prize for Scientific Innovation supervised by King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) called on Saudi and the Kingdom-resident male and female researchers in the academia community, the general and private related research centers to speed-up submitting nomination applications for the Prize in its 14th version, as the deadline for receiving nominations is the 17th Safar 1437 corresponding to the 30th November 2015.
Almarai Prize for Scientific Innovation for this year is branched into three main categories namely: The Distinguished Scientist Prize, the nomination for which is from among scientists who have distinct scientific contributions in areas of basic sciences, applied sciences, creative sciences and innovation. The second category is the Creative Achievement Prize, the nomination for which if from individual creative works that comprehend published referred researches, patents, industrial designs and other works in fields of basic sciences, applied sciences, creative sciences. The Women’s Scientific Research Prize is the third category of the Prize. This category pertains to scientific research conducted in the Kingdom by Saudi female researchers in basic & applied science.
It is worth mentioning that the Prize aims to contribute to the development of science and technology in the Kingdom, encourage creative and talented Competencies in scientific fields, energize the spirit of creativity, as well as investing in potential members of the community, and urging them to effectively compete in various scientific and technological fields that serve goals of the development in the Saudi society, which constitutes, by its turn, an essential role in propelling the wheel of sustainable development in the kingdom.
