Science & Technology Organizes the 2nd Saudi International Biotechnology Conference next Tuesday
Under kind patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) organizes on next Tuesday activities of the 2nd Saudi International Biotechnology Conference 2016 (SIBC16) under the title “Stem Cell Technology: from Bench to Bedside” at the Conference Hall of KACST’s Headquarters.
The Conference targets extending communication bridges among scientists, experts, specialists in technologies of stem-cells in the Kingdom and from around the world to get first-hand knowledge on the latest technologies and applications in this crucial and accelerating scientific area with the aim of transferring and localizing these technologies and applications into the Kingdom to promote and upgrade the level of health care as well as encouraging creativity, innovation and investment such technologies and applications.
Over two successive days, the Conference focuses on new stem cell technology innovations, research and development, best practices, particularly those relevance to the Kingdom in addition to stem cell therapy, bio-printing, disease modeling and regulatory challenges facing stem cell technology applications.
The main objectives of this Conference are to enhance understanding of the current use of stem cell technologies in the field of medicine, achieve breakthroughs in treatment for many prevalent diseases within Saudi Arabia. Research into health biotechnology is vital due to the incidence of certain rare diseases in the Kingdom, particularly in the field of genetics, diagnosing and treating communicable and non-communicable diseases.
The conference targets a wide spectrum of attendees including researchers, investors, decision makers, and all those interested in stem cell technology besides senior government officials, regenerative medicine and medical sector specialists and experts, stem cell technology and medical sector decision makers, stem cell technology and medical sector professionals, university and education professionals and students as well as providers of stem cell technology and medical solutions, investors in biotechnology and medical solutions, stem cell technology and medical sector training centers, representative from centers of excellence for stem cell technology and medicine, interested members of the public, professionals from intellectual property and patent offices.
