In (1425 - 2004) the
internet has been reorganized in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
by issuing a resolution from the Council of Ministers No.
229 in 13/8/1425. The Communications and Information Technology
Commission was assigned to take responsibility of organizational
and administrative aspects of the internet in addition to
assigning the task of presenting internet service to some
private sectors companies under the supervision of the Communications
and Information Technology Commission.

To provide a multiple local and international resources which had a significant role in facilitating the access for researchers and specialists to an approved scientific documents, these efforts supported the quality of activities and scientific production in KACST and on a national level.
KACST has worked hard to obtain and provide all the necessary sources such as national and international information services, approved full text scientific documents for researchers, research centers and academia.
A series of books, booklets, magazines and reports were published in paper format and were made electronically-available as well to readers on KACST’s publications website
