Development of smart sensors based on metal oxide nanostructures
This project aims to prepare and build a laboratory that has the ability of developing, testing, and manufacturing smart sensing devices. It also aims at training researchers and students in the field of nanosynthesis and chemical-sensing technology and to fabricate devices that can detect hazardous gases with very low concentrations. They are fabricated using pure and doped semi conducting metal oxides nanostructures that enable these devices to work effectively as smart gas sensors. A group of researchers received training at Korean and Chinese universities.
