Direct Access to the world database:
This service provides recipients with current bibliographic information in various fields of science & technology. This service is offered as follows:
1. Submitted requests are received by email, facsimile, telephone or a service representative. A form may also be filled requesting information.
2. Submitted requests are processed, & a search is run for the requested information using many information systems & resources including:
a. ECOH (CORDIS- EU Community Research & Development Information Service)
b. Trade Network
c. CD-ROM Network System
d. DIALOG Information System
e. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Database (IEEE)
f. Education Research Information Center (ERIC)
g. The Medical Library
h. Business Periodicals on Disks
i. Scientific Direct
Documents Delivery Service:
Requests for copies of specific documents are processed through this service. Such requests are made by completing a form indicating the bibliographic information of the requested documents. Documents are then provided using external resources, such as:
1. The British Library Document Supply Centre (BLDSC)
2. The National Technical Information Service (NTIS)
3. A set of complete texts resources including: IEEE, ERIC, Business Periodicals on Disk, Science Direct
The documents can also be obtained using internal resources such as: the Arabic & English national databases available at KACST, the Saudi academic libraries & publishing houses.
Reference Services:
Any reference questions or inquiries the users may have can be addressed in person, by telephone, facsimile or email. Researchers can also be helped to obtain expedited access to scientific references.

Circulation Services:
The library of KACST offers circulation services to users wishing to use various information resources outside the library. Circulation of materials inside the library is also allowed during operation hours from 7:30 am till 3 pm.
Users of this service include:
1. Members of KACST (including its various programs & departments)
2. Master’s & PHD degree students, researchers, educators, & specialists in research centers & hospitals of other bodies involved in cooperative programs with KASCT management.
