- The Spatial Information Database
KACST also supplies the Kingdom’s Spatial Information Database with data. The database contains geographical names and coordinates, as well as descriptive information of geographical places such as cities, villages, wells and valleys, in the form of layers in a geographic information system, for the use of related parties.
KACST delivers digital maps within a geographic information system to many parties. The geographic information system includes layers of linear data, such as the roads network, the location of cities, villages and terrains, in additional to satellite images of variable degrees of precision.
