KACST Holds an International Conference for Laser Medicine in the Middle of Next January

KACST is organizing  the International Conference for Laser and its medical applications in collaboration with the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in King Faisal Convention Center in Riyadh during the period 25-27 Moharam 1431H corresponding to 11- 13 January 2010.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, KACST President, stressed the vital importance of this conference as the biggest scientific gathering in the area of international pillars of laser including doctors, specialists and other stakeholders. He added that this conference is unique of its type due to its being held in collaboration with the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) that is considered one of the international pioneers in laser sciences and its medical applications.
Dr. Al-Suwaiyel pointed that this scientific gathering reflects the distinguished scientific status of the Kingdom as well as the participation of (ASLMS) highlights the pioneering role of the kingdom in the area and achieves the concept of Global partnership adopted by KACST.
KACST President indicated that activities of the conference would extend for three full days on three varied axels through the sessions of the conference besides specialized workshops by international and local specialists.
The conference hosts distinguished international professors and doctors including Prof. Stuart Nelson, M.D., Ph.D, the secretary general of ASLMS, medical director of Beckman Laser Institute (BLI) and editor of Lasers in Medical Science that is one of authoritative scientific periodicals and Professor Harry Moseley President of the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA)
Participants in the conference also include Prof. Christopher Zachary one of the directors of ASLMS and head of the dermatology department in University of California, Prof. Chee-Leok Goh, M.D. from the National University of Singapore, Prof. Victor Ross, M.D. USA, Prof. Peter Bjerring, M.D. Denmark, Prof. Harvey Lui, M.D. Canada, Prof. Jochen Werner, M.D. Germany in addition to other international and local professors, doctors and specialists.
