In an agreement signed by “Science & Technology” and National Space Agency of Kazakhstan
Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Kazakhstan cooperate in Space Peaceful Usages

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Republic of Kazakhstan in Riyadh yesterday that aims at mutual cooperation and benefits in areas of space research, remote sensing, satellites communications and outer space exploring and use for peaceful purposes.
The agreement signed by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) at its headquarters with the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides for cooperation in space sciences research areas, Earth planet remote sensing, satellite communications, satellite space navigation besides the use of space infrastructure, as well as manufacturing space vehicles and their components, and regulations and usages of launching services.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, KACST President and former cosmonaut Talgat Mussabayev, Head of Kazakhstan National Space Agency in the presence of Prince Dr. Turki Bin Saud Bin Mohammad Al Saud, KACST Vice President for Research Institutes, Dr. Abdulaziz Mohamed Al Swailem, KACST Vice President for Scientific Research Support and high-ranking researches and officials from both sides.
Through this agreement, KACST and Space Agency of Kazakhstan, would work on the joint development and achievement of programs and projects in the field of space activities, in addition to staff training, exchange of scientists and specialists besides facilitating their participation in joint research projects determined by both sides, as well as jointly exchanging information and data, organizing scientific conferences, workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
