Through the Human Sciences Grants Program and the Limited Grants Program
“Science and Technology” supports Thirty-one research proposal by about Eight million Saudi Riyals
KACST allocated about eight million Saudi Riyals to support 31 research proposals within the 11th program the Human Sciences Grants and the 14th program the Limited Grants where the Human Sciences research proposals counted for six proposals that have been supported by about five millions while the program of limited grants supported 25-research proposals by about three million Riyal.
Supervisor of the General Directorate of Research Grants, Dr. AbdulRahman Bin Ibrahim Al Abdela’ali indicated that approved research proposals within the 11th program for the Human Sciences grants include various proposals such as a research proposal titled “Developing the system of the Medical Co-operative Insurance in Saudi Arabia” that is submitted by researcher Dr. Suleiman AbdulMohsen Al-Hadhief; a second research proposal titled “Examining the phenomenon of the High Prices of the Basic Commodities in Saudi Arabia” by researcher Dr. Safar Hussein El-Qahtani, in addition to the research proposal “Saudi Non-Petroleum Exports: An analytical Study” by Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al Khathlan. Al LAbdela’ali noted that the three Dr. Researchers are all from King Saud University.
Dr. Al LAbdela’ali elaborated that there are other research proposals in the same domain of Hunan Sciences such as “Children-Oriented programs in the Saudi TV: Towards a Strategy to Establish a Saudi TV Channel for Children” submitted by researcher Dr. Hussein Tash Niyazi from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University; a research proposal titled ’Electronic Games and their Negative Effects on Children in Saudi Arabia: Problems and Solutions” by researcher Dr.Abdul Karim Abudllah El-Saif from Massarat for Studies and Development” and “Family Violence in Saudi Arabia: Causes and Solution submitted by lady Dr. researcher Mayssoun AbdulAziz Al Dekhiel.
As for the program of Limited grants, Dr. Al LAbdela’ali highlighted that among the remarkable research proposals approved for support there are: “Factors leading to the Resisting Asthma as among Saudi Patients”; “Enhancing Dates Transformation Industries in Saudi Arabia: Producing High Quality Dates Organic Juice”; ‘Molecules Leading to Metabolic Disorders Resulting From Saudis’ Stopping Smoking, in addition to the research proposal ”Preventive Measures on Rocky Slopes to Protect Passengers on the Rocky Roads.”
