محتوى الصفحة The Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency Concludes its Summer Campaign to Rationalize Energy Consumption in Al- Khobar City The Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency (SCEE) concluded its summer awareness campaign on raising the efficiency of using electricity in household appliances and how to maintain them for this year at Alkhobar city in the Eastern Province. The campaign was launched in Riyadh City on 20th July and resumed in Jeddah city on 10th of August The campaign included an exhibition in Dharan Commercial Mall Compound for three days through data and messages were presented to the public to urge them to apply and follow the best means and techniques in rationalizing electricity usages in residential areas that consume a vast amount of energy because of the hot climate in most areas of the kingdom. Dr. Naif Mohamed Al-Abbadi, SCEE General Manager, stated that the campaign has focused this summer on the air conditioner taking into consideration that it is one of the home-appliances with high electricity consumption, adding that the campaign would include a huge reproduction of the air conditioner through which instructions and advices will be provided to the public and visitors to rationalize energy use for home- appliances in general in tutorial, entertaining and attractive forms. SCEE General Manager emphasized that spreading out awareness about conserving energy has become imperative and important step in view of its role in promoting efforts exerted by the Saudi government and its commitment to the optimal use of domestic sources of energy besides promoting the efficiency of its production and consumption, in line with what our Islamic religion dictates pertaining the importance of rationalization and the rejection of extravagance and lavishness and squander. Dr. Al-Abbadi stated that this summer campaign comes within tasks assigned to SCEE, namely, spreading out awareness in the field of energy conservation and the successful applications in this field, particularly with the increasing domestic consumption of electric energy, and the high pressure resulting from waste and lack of rationalization and standardization in energy consumption.
