Under the Auspice of Badir Program for Technology Incubators

Activities of TEDx Najed Conference, held in King Feisal Foundation, were recently concluded under the Auspice of Badir Program for Technology Incubators that is supervised by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). This conference comes within Badir’s efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and creative work and was held in the presence of more than 13 speakers who offered essence of their experiences in adopting and the applying unique ideas.
TEDx Najd conference for this year was held under the banner (Great Ideas = Great Society). Its activities continued for one day. Discussion sessions stretched from 4 PM to 11 PM, during which experts and specialists presented the essence of their experience in adopting distinguished ideas, developing them into products then bringing them to commercial markets.
TEDx conferences aim to raise awareness, promote a culture of technology entrepreneurship, and create channels to contribute to knowledge communication in the society. Among the most prominent speakers during the conference were the Saudi inventor Muhammad Aboudiah, the well- known caricaturist Abdul Aziz al-Muzaini, and Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim El-sabeel.
TEDx is an international non-profit organization that aims to disseminate ideas that are worth publishing, such as creative and inspiring ideas. TEDx organizes annual activities in a number of cities in the Kingdom and around the world, through which it polarizes innovators in various fields and spread out knowledge and establishes it among society members and interested parties.
Badir Program provides various services in the field of entrepreneurship, in addition to organizing and caring for a number of activities that help entrepreneurs to set goals, markets and competitive environment. In addition, Badir Program provides services to those wishing to join this program from among owners of technology projects, such as providing specialized trade guidance besides the logistics services.
It is worth mentioning that Badir Program for Technology Incubators is one of KACT’s programs through which it seeks to localize technology , propagate the culture of incubators and incubation, assist in starting-up incubators, as well as supporting technology entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs in addition to moving studies and researches from institutes and laboratories to the market.
