Dr. Abdulaziz AlSuwailem Expresses his Gratitude to the Leadership of
Kingdom for their Precious Confidence for his Appointment as KACST
Vice-President for Scientific- Research Support at the 15th Rank
Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed AlSuwailem, KACST Vice-President for Scientific- Research Support, expressed his profound gratitude and deep
thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, HRH the Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz and HRH the Second Deputy Premier for the royal trust appointing as KACST Vice-President for Scientific- Research Support on an acting basis for four years at the 15th rank.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem said that the responsibility is great especially since it is concerned with an important and vital sector, that is the sector of science and technology, pointing out that securing support for scientific research and technology development is one of the main pillars, for which KACST was established to contribute in fulfilling requirements of development in Saudi Arab Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Suwailem noted that this confidence of the leadership would be an incentive to exert more efforts to contribute in the efforts of the State for the sake of a great remarkable scientific advancement and leading-edge technology that would be functioned to achieve the sustainable development for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
KACST Vice-President for scientific research support expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, KACST president for his support, guidance and boost to overcome all the obstacles for the sake KACST advancement and its carrying on achieving the desired goals which “we all aspire”.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem stressed his delight that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has accomplished a remarkable growth in fields of science and technology over the past few decades as a natural result of the support and attention given to this sector by the leaders of this county
At the conclusion of his statement – Dr. Al-Suwailem prayed to Almighty God to provide him with help and success in performing this responsibility to the fullest, wished success and prosperity for all KACST employees in carrying tasks entrusted to them, and expressed the hope that God sustains this country's security, stability and prosperity under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince and HRH the Second Deputy Premier
It is noteworthy that Dr. Abdulaziz AlSuwailem is a Research Professor in biotechnology and genetic engineering, and has served as supervisor of KACST Natural Resources and Environment Research Institute in addition to being the Director of KACST Centre for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering
Dr. AlSuwailem chairs a number of local and international committees out of which are the National Committee for Bioethics and medical Ethics, the Arab Committee for Ethics in Science and Technology, the International Intergovernmental Bioethics committee (UNESCO). He also has several scientific papers published in international scientific journals that are specialized and arbitrated.
