Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, KACST President emphasized  the full conformity between   KACST and the legal Authorities in the Kingdom regarding the legal sighting of New Moons, stressing the importance of permanent cooperation and coordination between KAST and the legal authorities.
Dr. Al-Suwaiyel lauded the standing cooperation among the Supreme Judicial Council. Ministry of Justice and KAST, displaying the importance of making full use of what modern science and the technology of our arena avail and also benefiting from astronomical specialists, meanwhile he pointed out that KAST has mobilized all its scientific and research potentialities and capabilities for observing and sighting the new moons including telescopes, astronomical binoculars and other equipment of magnification and astrography besides availing scientific specialists to secure the necessary technical support.
He added that tasks assigned to KAST in this effect comprehend training selected people to sight new moons on these modern equipments and technologies, adding that the Ministry of Justice supplied KAST with a list of those people all over the kingdom.
Concluding his press release, Dr. Al-Suwaiyel expressed his profound appreciation and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his kind orientations and constant support to KAST and his deep thanks to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Minster of Justice for the remarkable cooperation is this vital issue.
