KACST hosts the Meeting of Science &Technology Innovation Committee of COMSTECH

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) hosted in its headquarters lately the meeting of the Committee designated by the Committee on Scientific and Technology Innovation emanating from the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technical Cooperation COMSTECH of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), to propose programs and projects in which the Kingdom, Pakistan, Senegal, Syria, and Malaysia took part.

The meeting was chaired by KACST President Dr Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, General Coordinator of the Executive Committee of COMSTECH, and a number of ministers of scientific research in Member States, and representatives from OIC

During the meeting decisions that establish  to support research projects in vital areas related to needs of Member States were made, where it was agreed to link programs and projects with the work plan for the ten-year Science, Technology program  approved by OIC (Vision of 1441H.). It was also agreed to establish a database for proposed projects and action mechanisms; budgets supporting programs and priority projects were also adopted and a timetable for their implementation was set as well.
