His Royal Highness Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz, Second Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, received King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) President His Excellency Dr. Mohammed ibn Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel  in the Jeddah office  of His Royal Highness, on Saturday 1/9/1430 H (8/22/2009).
His Excellency first presented to His Royal Highness Second Deputy Prime Minister a detailed account of KACST’s efforts related to the National Policy for Science & Technology, where KACST collaborated with the Ministry of Economy & Planning actively involving many private and public sectors’ stakeholders.
His Excellency also took note of the directives His Royal Highness Second Deputy Prime Minister conveyed to enhance science and technology in all areas, and pave the way for Saudi creativity and innovation through continuous support, removal of obstacles and dedication of all capabilities.
His Royal Highness emphasized the need to focus on creating distinguished higher research centers in scientific technology and applications fields, at graduate and post graduate levels, to develop a leading elite community of scientists, engineers, and technical experts, while enhancing technical education as well as technical and vocational training.
