Science & Technology supports 19 researches Proposals with more than 2.5 Million Riyal.  
    
King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) allocated more than 2.5 million riyal to support (19) research proposals through the 15th Limited Grants Program in its first phase.

Dr. Abdulrahman Ibrahim Albdulali, the Supervisor of the General Directorate for Research Grants, indicated that research proposals approved by KACST included seven researches in the field of medicine, six in the field of basic sciences, namely: (Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Astronomy , Geology), and three research proposals in the fields of Agriculture and Engineering.

Dr. Albdulali explained that among the approved research proposals there is a research proposal titled “Valve Control in the Air-conditioning Array at Different Pressures”; another is titled “Enhancing the Physiological and Reproduction Status of Naimi Sheep using Sea-Algae as Feed Additives;” a third research proposal is titled “Studying the effect of Camels’ Milk on Incretion Hormones catalyzing Insulin Production in Natural and Newly Diabetes Infected mice).

The Supervisor of the General Directorate for Research Grants, revealed that the Limited Gants Program has supported so far (440) research proposals by more than (38) million riyal, out of which 203 research are in the field of medicine, 90 research are in basic science, and 87 research are in the agricultural field, while the total number of supported researches in the field of engineering is 56, and the number of research proposals in the field of humanities is three.

He pointed out that the program stipulated that the supported research should be directed to address issues and problems facing the developmental sector in the kingdom or a developmental research in fields of biotechnology and advanced technologies. The program has also stipulated that the period of carrying out the research should be one year, and with a budget not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand riyal.
