Responsibilities

1 Develop & monitor the implementation of the National Policy for Science & Technology
2 Prepare KACST’s quinquennial  plan & monitor the implementation for the plan
3 Monitor the execution of KACST’s operational plans
4 Coordinate with other bodies in plans & programs
5 Create &  develop databases based on the indicators of science , technology & innovation in the Kingdom in coordination with the General directorate of information systems

Responsibilities

1 Follow-up the development of national policies of science & technology
2 Coordinate strategic planning  with related bodies

Draft KACST’s plans & programs & monitor their implementation

Responsibilities

1 Draw KACST’s plans
2 Prepare & develop KACST’s programs in coordination with the various institutes & departments
3 Prepare follow-up reports on the implementation of plans & programs

3. Department of  S&T indicators (science & technology)

Objective

Monitor & update the indicators of science, technology & innovation

Responsibilities

1 Build & update databases using indicators of science , technology & innovation in the Kingdom in coordination with the General directorate of information systems
2 Prepare & develop KACST’s programs in coordination with the various institutes & departments
3 Provide information on the indicators of science, technology & innovation
